5:30 PM

Cantor

O God, come to my assistance.

 Response

 O Lord, make haste to help me.

Doxology

Praise the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit,

both now and for ever,

The God who is, who was, and is to come,

at the end of the ages.

Psalm 19

May the Lord answer in time of trial;

may the name of Jacobís God protect you.

May he send you help from his shrine

and give you support from Zion.

May he remember all your offerings

and receive your sacrifice with favor.

May he give you your heartís desire

and fulfill every one of your plans.

May we ring out our joy at your victory

and rejoice in the name of our God.

May the Lord grant all your prayers.

I am sure now that the Lord

will give victory to his anointed,

will reply from his holy heaven

with the mighty victory of his hand.

Some trust in chariots or horses,

but we in the name of the Lord.

They will collapse and fall,

but we shall hold and stand firm.

Give victory to the king, O Lord,

give answer on the day we call.

Praise the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit,

both now and for ever,

The God who is, who was, and is to come,

at the end of the ages.

Psalm 20

O Lord, your strength gives joy to the king;

how your saving help makes him glad!

You have granted him his heartís desire;

you have not refused the prayer of his lips.

You came to meet him with the blessings of success,

you have set on his head a crown of pure gold.

He asked you for life and this you have given,

days that will last from age to age.

Your saving help has given him glory.

You have laid upon him majesty and splendor,

you have granted your blessings to him for ever.

You have made him rejoice with the joy of your presence.

The king has put his trust in the Lord:

through the mercy of the Most High he shall stand firm.

His hand will seek and find all his foes,

his right hand find out those that hate him.

You will burn them like a blazing furnace

on the day when you appear.

And the Lord shall destroy them in his anger;

fire will swallow them up.

You will wipe out their race from the earth

and their children from the sons of men.

Though they plan evil against you,

though they plot, they shall not prevail.

For you will force them to retreat;

at them you will aim with your bow.

O Lord, arise in your strength;

we shall sing and praise your power.

.

Praise the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit,

both now and for ever,

The God who is, who was, and is to come,

at the end of the ages.

Week 1 (varies)

Col 1:9b-12

May you be filled with the knowledge of Godís will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that you may lead lives worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him as you bear fruit in every good work and as you grow in the knowledge of God.  May you be made strong with all the strength that comes from his glorious power, and may you be prepared to endure everything with patience, while joyfully giving thanks to the Father, who has enabled you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light.

Song of Mary

My soul glorifies the Lord,

my spirit rejoices in God my Savior.

He looks on his servant in her nothingness;

henceforth all ages will call me blessed.

The Almighty works marvels for me.

Holy is his name!

His mercy is from age to age,

on those who fear him.

He puts forth his arm in strength

and scatters the proud-hearted

He casts the mighty from their thrones

and raises the lowly.

He fills the starving with good things,

sends the rich away empty.

He protects Israel, his servant,

remembering his mercy,

The mercy promised to our fathers,

for Abraham and his sons for ever.

Doxology

Praise the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit,

both now and for ever,

the God who is, who was and is to come,

at the end of the ages.

Intercessions

(varies)

Lord God, your love embraces all people and your kindness knows no limit.  We rejoice to place our trust in you, our mighty God, as we pray:

Lord, hear our prayer!

Change our lives, that we may speak words of hope to all who have lost their way.

Lord, hear our prayer!

Give success to those who work for peace and help them to be patient, courageous and persevering.

Lord, hear our prayer!

Fill our law-makers with a deep love for justice and truth.

Lord, hear our prayer!

Help all refugees to find a place of rest and a time of peace.

Lord, hear our prayer!

Teach us to live our lives gently with others and to trust that you will never be far from us.

Lord, hear our prayer!

Grant a share in the risen life of your son to all who knew joy, suffering and creative labor, while they lived in our midst.

Lord Jesus, as once you looked with pity on the weary crowds, look again this evening on us, your people.  Good Shepherd, who gave your life for your flock, guide us to the peace of your kingdom, where we shall know you in the glory of the Father, and the unity of the Spirit, forever and ever.

Amen.

Dismissal

May the Lord be with you,

And with your spirit.

May the Almighty God bless you,

Father, Son and Holy Spirit

Amen

 Let us bless the Lord.

Thanks be to God.
